October 29th, 2014 – Toronto, Canada – The Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto, ICOT is proud to announce the results for its first Call for Score for the “CMC on the 13th” Piano series concert taking place on June 13th at the Canadian Music Centre’s National office in Toronto, Ontario.
After receiving an considerable response from the artistic community, and a surprising number of submissions, the jury made the difficult task of selecting only two works, which represented the aims and objectives of the Call for Score most accurately.
Parisa Sabet’s “Chakameh” for Piano Four hands, as well as Bence Kutrik’s “Beyond the Seas” were the selected works that will be premiered at the CMC on the 13th on June 13th 2015.
Both of these composers are active professionals with an impressive resume and a fascinating story.

Professionally, her compositions have won various competitions and been performed in different venues in North America. Currently, she is pursuing her DMA in composition at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Christos Hatzis.
